The Arts Amplifier is hosting a 50-minute question-and-answer session with Dr. Paul Kershaw, the Founder of Generation Squeeze. The mandate of Generation Squeeze is to expose the systemic roots of the social, economic, and environmental challenges facing younger generations in order to identify and advocate for equitable solutions to improve health and wellbeing. Generation Squeeze promotes health and wellbeing by focusing on the social determinants of heath and advancing health in all policies. They believe the way to improve wellbeing is through improving the conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work and age – conditions that are deteriorating for younger Canadians.
Gen Squeeze is looking to hire a few paid interns to design and implement knowledge translation (KT) materials and resources. They’re looking for people who can write like journalists and create influential content, such as
- blog posts, infographics or video vignettes to communicate key messages about research evidence
- podcasts or webinars sharing key evidence, ideas and communication tactics as part of a “Solution Series”
Would you like to be involved in shaping the scope of a Gen Squeeze internship? Are you interested in working in the not-for-profit sector, but not sure if your expertise would fit? Please RSVP to join us and chat with Paul. Bring your questions!
